Debby has a BSc (Hons) degree in Podiatry from Northampton University and is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. The HCPC is an organisation which has been set up to protect the public by setting standards for professional training and ethical guidelines for clinical practice.
Debby has also gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Counselling Skills from the University of South Wales. She believes that as a Healthcare Professional it is important to encourage patients to feel comfortable talking about themselves, to “actively” listen and respond appropriately.
Before training to become a Podiatrist, Debby worked in education and then as a practice manager for her husband’s Osteopathy clinic in Oxfordshire. Finding a Podiatrist for the clinic proved to be difficult so Debby decided to go back to university and train herself.
Debby understands that our mobility has a significant impact on our daily lives. Her professional expertise enables her to assess and diagnose her patient’s problem and then choose from a range of treatments to alleviate it.
